WILL GOD FORGIVE ME?

Someone may ask,

“Can God forgive me?  I’ve done some terrible things?”

The answer is, “Yes,” the BLOOD OF JESUS

paid for your sin; it will cleanse your

deepest sin.

Forgiveness comes from asking the Lord to forgive you.

“Can He forgive me and give me a peace whereby I will know I’ve been forgiven?”

God said He would, and we can trust His word:

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins,

He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,

and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

People may remember,

but God has chosen to forget every one of our sins!

He has promised He would never again remember any of our sins or our iniquities!

Hebrews 10:17

“And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.”

Micah 7:18-19

Who is a God like You,

Who pardons iniquity,

and passes by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage?

He doesn’t retain His anger forever, because

HE DELIGHTETH IN MERCY!

He will turn again,

He will have COMPASSION upon us;

He will subdue our iniquities;

and You will cast ALL their sins

into the depths of the sea!

What can wash away my sin?

Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

What can make me whole again?

Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

Isaiah 1:18

Come now,

and let us reason together,

saith the Lord:

though your sins be as scarlet,

they shall be as white as snow;

though they be red like crimson,

they shall be as wool.

The New Testament cites an example of a man in authority

who persecuted Christians and had them killed.

He  had a supernatural experience with the Lord however,

enroute to Damascus to destroy more Christians.

Jesus Christ appeared to him

and his life was changed from that point on.

The very Christ he once persecuted he now preached,

proclaiming Christ to be the “Son of God.”

When he wanted to join himself to the disciples

they were afraid of him, fearing his conversion wasn’t real.

Sometimes people are skeptical that such a person could become a Christian.

Saul of Tarsus the persecutor became Paul the Apostle – the Lord’s Preacher!

“Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.”

Romans 4:7-8

“Bless the Lord O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:

Who forgives all your iniquities…”

 Psalm 103:3

There is a fountain filled with blood,
Drawn from Immanuel’s veins,
And sinners plunged beneath that flood
Lose all their guilty stains.

The dying thief rejoiced to see
That fountain in His day;
And there have I, though vile as he,
Washed all my sins away.

Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood
Shall never lose its pow’r,
Till all the ransomed church of God
Are safe, to sin no more.

E’er since by faith I saw the stream
Thy flowing wounds supply,
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die.

When this poor, lisping, stamm’ring tongue
Lies silent in the grave,
Then in a nobler, sweeter song,
I’ll sing Thy pow’r to save.

~ William Cowper

Yes, Jesus loves you.

If you haven’t invited Jesus into your heart,

a sincere prayer from your heart is enough.

“Jesus I believe you died on the cross for me.

Forgive me of my sins and

come into my heart.”

When you’re crying yourself to sleep,

know that Jesus is lending His shoulder to you.

When you’re pushed to the ground,

know that Jesus is holding out His hands to you.

When you feel like dying,

know that Jesus died to let you live.

When you feel like no one loves you,

know that Jesus loves you more than you can imagine.
