Archive for the ‘For By His Stripes We Are Healed’ Category

Hello Friends and Family in continuation of our Easter celebration, it is only fitting that we share that not only

does the blood of Jesus heal and save our souls, but His precious blood will also heal our diseases today.

Isaiah 53:5

But He was wounded for our transgressions,

He was bruised for our iniquities:

the chastisement of our peace was upon Him;

and with His stripes we are healed.

I Peter 2:24

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree,

that we, being dead to sins,

should live unto righteousness:

by whose stripes ye were healed.

In the past April Conference I had a minor stroke that affected my peripheral vision in my right eye.

In Kansas, enroute to Colorado, I had another incident and my hand lost strength and slid down the bar I was

was gripping as I sat in the passenger seat of  the motor home.

A few weeks later, while in Colorado for a revival where my husband was the speaker, I awakened

about 4 A.M. and could not speak intelligibly, just a horrible noise came from my mouth.  Neither could I

swallow the water and aspirin given to me by my husband.

In the emergency room, in the midst of the doctors and nurses and others there, the speech therapist told me

she had seen stroke patients regain their speech in a short time.  I remember thinking, “I hope that’s

true for me!”  She also told me, if I could not speak a word, that I might try singing what I wanted to

say, as speech and singing use a different part of the brain.  What an amazing Creater to place that benefit into

the brain!

For I am fearfully and wonderfully made!

(Psalm 139:14).

By that night, I could speak!  I was talking to one of my sisters out of state, and I told her, “I sound

like Elmer Fudd!”  She was making fun of me and we were laughing and I was praising God I could

speak.  I truly appreciate everyone who prayed for me, for I know my Lord touched me.  On my hospital

bed I told the Lord I was ready to go if He wanted to take me, as I examined my heart, I felt like I had no

loose ends.    But here I am, by His grace living and praising my Jesus.

There’s an old chorus we used to sing that goes something like this:

He’s the same the healing Savior

He’s the same the cleansing Lord

He’s the same…

He’s the same and living in me.

Jesus, O Jesus

Jesus, O Jesus…

We saw many healings in our travels for Jesus.

A gentleman was instantly healed of a torn rotator cuff some years ago and still rejoices in his healing.

A lady was healed of fibromyalgia that caused

years of suffering.

In one church, a woman had been thrown into some exercise equipment some fifteen

years previous by an abusive husband.  She was instantly healed of a painful spine condition that prevented

her from having a restful and complete nights sleep.

In another place a woman who was brain dead,

was healed and was vacationing in Alaska the following year.

A premature baby was mistakenly given an

excessive dose of medicine and was not expected to live, lives

today some years later.

And last most notably a young woman 31 years old was healed of

neuropathy  and wore specially made leg braces and could not even feel her feet.

She was also legally blind.

Today she has a car and job!

These are only some of the miracles of healing I personally know about.

Luke 6:19

And the whole multitude sought to touch him:

for there went virtue out of him,

and healed them all.

Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ the same yesterday,

and to day,

and for ever.

Thank you for stopping by.
