Psalm 118:24
This is the day which the Lord hath made;
we will rejoice and be glad in it.

“Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone;
and do not be troubled about the future,
for it has yet to come.
Live in the present,
and make it so beautiful
that it will be worth remembering.”

Corri and Mike are a happy couple who enjoy life.
They decided to downsize in order to save some money.
She sold her antiques.
Their new home is a 19 foot older trailer.
She is a neat-freak.
She loved the small space they called home.
He cooks and caters;
(not in the R.V. of course).
She makes business cards and brochures;
whatever needs printing.
Great!
They started their new life
and parked their trailer in an R.V. park
in a city that only allows
them to stay there for six months at a time.
When that time is up, they have to relocate;
it’s a city ordinance you see.

So what did Mike do?
He planted grass and a small garden.
He made temporary fence
out of branches.
He had flowering pots
placed in a decorative manner
around his site.

~
He had a bird feeder,
and decorated their site with bamboo.

Basically,
they made it beautiful.
They made it home;
“Home, sweet home!”

“Home is the heart of life…
Home is where we feel at ease,
where we belong,
where we can create surroundings
that reflect our tastes and pleasures…
Making a home is a form of creativity
open to everyone.”

The art of making a home.
No insignificant task.
I love this idea of the art form
of making a home.
More than making a place
that is pleasant to the eye,
it is also about making a place
that is a representation
of who we are
and what we love.
An art that is open to everyone.

“What day is it?”
It’s today,” squeaked Piglet.
My favorite day,” said Pooh.”

What about the beauty they created?
They enjoyed it for the six months they lived there.
They created a beautiful moment and a beautiful home,
they can take with them wherever they go.
And everyone who went to the laundry
room or pool enjoyed it too.
The beauty they created
was enjoyed by others as well.
