Family and Friends,

Just Suppose

By Phil Hodges

Just suppose, when I pray, there really is someone listening who cares about me and

wants to know what is on my mind.

Just suppose, when I pray, it changes me and my view of how the universe operates and

who is involved.

Just suppose, I put my doubts aside for a minute and consider the possibility that

someone who knew me before I was born loves me, warts and all, without condition or

reservation, no matter how badly I have behaved in the past.

Just suppose, a prayer was my first response instead of my last resort when facing a new

challenge or an old temptation.

Just suppose, I lived each day, knowing that there is an inexhaustible supply of love for

me to pass along to others.

Just suppose.

Jeremiah 33: 3

Call unto me,

and I will answer thee

and show thee great and mighty things,

which thou knowest not.

Just suppose Christians acted like the Bible is true.

Just suppose.

Acts 16:30-31

”Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

And they said,

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ,

and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”

Romans 10:8-13

But what saith it?

The word is nigh thee,

even in thy mouth,

and in thy heart:

that is,

the word of faith, which we preach;

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth

the Lord Jesus,

and shalt believe in thine heart

that God hath raised Him from the dead,

thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto

and with the mouth confession is made unto

For the scripture saith,

believeth on Him

shall not be ashamed.

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek:

for the same Lord over

is rich unto

that call upon Him.

For whosoever shall CALL upon the NAME of the Lord

The plan of salvation is simple.

Believe that the Lord Jesus Christ,

died for your sins and rose again from the dead.

Ask Him to forgive you of your sins.

Invite Him into your heart to be the Savior of your soul.

When you’re crying yourself to sleep,

know that Jesus is lending His shoulder to you.

When you’re pushed to the ground,

know that Jesus is holding out His hands to you.

When you feel like dying,

know that Jesus died to let you live.

When you feel like no one loves you,

know that Jesus loves you more than you can imagine.
