THE BEST IS YET TO COME!

Family and Friends,

Our Father will hold our hand as we walk through this life. We are never alone!

Pastor just used a very touching visual in altar call on Thursday night. As the choir sang in the background Covered by the Blood, he cupped his hand and said,

                 “we’re in the palm of  our Lord‘s hand.”

Then with his other hand, as he covered his cupped hand he said,

                  “We’re covered with the blood.”  How much safer can we be?

I think one of the most comforting things about being a Christian is:

Romans:8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to them that

love God to them that are the called according to His purpose.

=========================================================================================================

To think that my God is working every situation and circumstance in my life  for my good is nothing short of amazing! He didn’t say that everything that comes my way is good, but that in His inimitable way He causes it to work for my good. I read somewhere, “The worst things that happen to you are the best things that happen to you.”  Only my Lord could do this in my life, only Him.

Grow old along with me!

The best is yet to be,

The last of life,  for which the first was made:

Our times are in His hand Who saith,

“A whole I planned, youth shows but half”;

trust God: see all, nor be afraid!

Philippians 3:12-14

Not as though I had already attained,

either were already perfect:

but I follow after,

if that I may apprehend that

for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended:

but this one thing I do,

forgetting those things which are behind,

and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

I press toward the mark

for the prize of the high calling of God

in Christ Jesus.

Two thousand and eleven is gone, never to be recalled again. It’s in the past and that is where we can leave it.

This is a new year, a new day, a new path. With the help of God our Saviour  we can forgive, forget and press on to higher heights and deeper depths in God.

Jesus is coming and I want to be ready day and night.

Sometimes there is a need buried deeply within the heart of hearts. It cannot be seen. It can’t be touched by human hands. It cannot be described. But it is there nevertheless. No, there aren’t words in human language to articulate it. When you can’t explain the depth of the need, you have but to cry “Abba Father!”  When you don’t know what to pray, you can call from the depths of your being, praying in the spirit.

Romans 8:22-28

For we know that the whole creation groaneth

and travaileth in pain together until now.

And not only they,

but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit,

even we ourselves groan within ourselves,

waiting for the adoption, to wit,

the redemption of our body.

For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope:

for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities:

for we know not what we should pray for as we ought:

but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us

with groanings which cannot be uttered.

And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit,

because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

And we know

that all things work together for good to them that love God,

to them who are the called according to his purpose.

How can I say that the best is yet to come?

John 2:9-10

When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,

And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: [but]

                                thou hast kept the good wine until now.

This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

Jesus saved the best till last at the wedding at Cana, and manifested His glory to all!

Jesus Christ is still “the same” and it is not presumptious to believe that He is saving the best for His children in these last days, and will once again manifest His glory to us!

First of all, there is a heaven to look forward to. There are new horizons to see, new vistas to explore, and new souls to come to Christ. This may be the year the loved one you have been praying for comes to the Saviour. A sister wanted me to give a message to my husband. She tearfully said,

“Tell him the special need he prayed about for me is being answered. My daughter is coming back!

Praise God, our prayers are not in vain! He hears us. He sees every tear and they are precious to HIm. He cares, He knows, He loves you! Life is good because God is good!

There’s no time to get bogged down with faultfinders and naysayers.  No time to listen to the devil and his lies.

Philippians 4:8  “…whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report;… think on these things.”  There is always time to think about Jesus, about His love and mercy and about Heaven, our future home.

Revelation 21:1-6

 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:

for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away;

and there was no more sea.

 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem,

coming down from God out of heaven,

prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying,

Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men,

and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people,

and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;

and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying,

neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

 And he that sat upon the throne said,

Behold, I make all things new.

And he said unto me,

Write: for these words are true and faithful.

 And he said unto me,

It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

 He that overcometh shall inherit all things;

and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Revelation 22:3-6

And there shall be no more curse:

but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it;

and his servants shall serve him:

 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle,

neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light:

and they shall reign for ever and ever.

 And he said unto me,

These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets

sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

Yes, it definitely will be worth it all!

God Bless You!
