Hello Family and Friends

Psalm 63

O God, Thou art my God;

early will I seek Thee:

my soul thirsteth for Thee, my flesh longeth for Thee

in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

 to see Thy power and Thy glory,

so as I have seen Thee in the sanctuary.

 Because Thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise Thee.

 Thus will I bless Thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in Thy Name.

 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness;

and my mouth shall praise Thee with joyful lips:

 When I remember Thee upon my bed,

and meditate on Thee in the night watches.

 Because Thou hast been my help,

therefore in the shadow of Thy wings will I rejoice.

 My soul followeth hard after Thee:

Thy right hand upholdeth me.

 But those that seek my soul, to destroy it,

shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.

 But the king shall rejoice in God;

every one that sweareth by Him shall glory:

but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

Family and Friends, there is nothing as refreshing as a glass of water when you are thirsty.  For me, water is to be preferred over anything else for quenching my thirst.  Water refreshes and satisfies like nothing else can.  Likewise, there is nothing (no thing) that can satisify the thirsty soul like the LORD.  Give me Jesus!  One definition for thirst: “An insistent desire; a craving.”  This Psalm is rich with the Psalmists THIRSTING for God.  I like what I read somewhere and it goes something like this:  “The Psalms tell the emotions we feel but cannot express.”  There is a spiritual thirst in every living soul.  Jesus is the only one that can fulfill this innate need.

 Revelation 22:17

Come. And let him that heareth say, Come.  And let him that is athirst come.  And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

John 4:14-15

But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, …

The song says,  “Into my heart, into my heart, into my heart Lord Jesus.  Come in to day, come into to stay,  come into my heart Lord Jesus.”  It is impossible for the seeking Saviour and the seeking sinner NOT to find one another.
