I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto Myself.

As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: so the Lord alone did lead him.

This God is our God for ever and ever: He will be our guide even unto death.
Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee.
Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. For your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
To me this version of Amazing Grace is especially touching because the performance is done in a Roman Coliseum. How many Christians were martyred there for their faith in Christ? The sweet irony is that so many centuries later Amazing Grace was sung where Amazing Grace was enacted in the lives of those saints who gave their ultimate devotion to a Savior they loved with all their hearts; their very own lives.
The same Lord that was Faithful in 2012 will be Faithful in 2013. There will be new challenges, new mountains to climb and new vistas to explore. So much more that we can do for the Lord.
