Greetings Friends and Family,

The Appearance of the Star and the Offerings of the Magi

I shall see Him,

but not now:

I shall behold Him,

but not nigh:

there shall come a Star out of Jacob,

and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel…

Numbers 24:17

Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea

in the days of Herod the king,

there came wise men from the east

to Jerusalem,

 Where is He that is born King of the Jews?

for we have seen His Star in the east,

and are come to worship Him.

 Matthew 2:1

The kings of Tarshish

and of the isles shall bring presents:

the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

all kings shall fall  down before Him:

 Psalm 72:10-11

And the Gentiles shall come to thy light,

and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

Isaiah 60:3

Lift up thine eyes round about,

and see:

all they gather themselves together,

they come to thee:

Isaiah 60:4

The multitude of camels shall cover thee,

the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah;

all they from Sheba shall come:

they shall bring gold and incense;

and they shall shew forth the praises of the Lord.

Isaiah 60:6

And when they were come into the house,

they saw the young child with Mary his mother,

and fell down,

and worshipped him:

and when they had opened their treasures,

they presented unto him gifts;

and frankincense and myrrh.

Matthew 2:11

These Magi were Gentiles, the second group to worship Jesus after the shepherds who

 were Jews, which seems to fit the divinely ordained succession-

“to the Jew first, and

also to the Greek” Rom. 1:16

 No doubt this was a precursor to the time in the Millenium

when kings shall come offering King Messiah gifts of wealth, gold and incense, from far

away nations. These valuable gifts were a great blessing no doubt to Joseph and Mary

who were probably in need of some form of financial help since they were warned to flee

into Egypt after this.

Happy Christmas Holiday to you and your families.  Thank you for stopping by.
