Let There Be Light

Hello Friends and Family,

We  have been having blessed  times in our travels as we visit with God‘s wonderful people and experience God’s sweet presence in the services.  At one of the churches we visited this year, a ten year old girl received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.  It truly was precious to see the Lord working in her life.   In one altar service, a very touching moment occurred when she  was at the altar praying for her dad.  God was working in her family  and her mother was so hungry for the Lord in her own life that she expressed to me more than once that she “wanted more!”

In another church, the first night of revival, a 92 year old saint was filled with the Holy Spirit, as well.  God’s people are receiving one of God’s greatest gifts, regardless of age or station in life.

When  I think of light, I think of sunshine, blue skies and big white puffy clouds;  a cheerful place  void of  darkness.   A place where flowers grow and laughing children play.  Of springtime and of trees coming back to life after a long dreary winter.  Light reminds me of joy and gladness, and of magnificent sunsets and glorious sunrises.  Light is seeing; illumination and understanding.  When you understand something that previously was not understood, you say, “Oh, now I see.”

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that…

~Martin Luther King Jr.~

Give light and the darkness will disappear of itself.

All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.

~Francis of Assisi~

I make it my rule, to lay hold of light and embrace it, wherever I see it, though held forth by a child or an enemy.

~Jonathan Edwards~

The issue is now clear.  It is between light and darkness and everyone must choose his side.

~G.K. Chesterton~

candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the

house   (16) Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify  your Father which is in heaven.

John 12:46  I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

I John 1:5  This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light,

and in Him is no darkness at all.

God giveth them light: and they shall reign forever and ever.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can dispel it.  May the Lord help us to be a light in this darkened world.

Isaiah 60:1-2   Arise, shine; for thy light is come , and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.  For, behold, the

darkness shall cover the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
